Hi, I'm Christina.
Growing up in Oregon’s Willamette Valley before it was world-famous for Pinot Noir, I saw the power for good that tourism could bring to an area - improved job opportunities, better roads and schools, the list goes on and on.

Over 15 years later, I've worked for numerous marketing and public relations agencies across the country, promoting tourism for the likes of Travel Oregon, Visit Idaho, Willamette Valley Visitors Association, Southwest Idaho Travel Association, Idaho Wine Commission, Oregon Farm Loops, Destination Caldwell, McCall Chamber of Commerce, Nampa Chamber of Commerce, and numerous wineries and breweries, among others.
But I grew frustrated that so many small- to medium-sized destinations wanted to do media relations but they couldn't afford an agency - and they didn't know what to do themselves - so they did nothing. 

So I started my company, Christina Lenkowski & Co., to remedy that. 
I teach destinations to do their own public relations and media pitching through a variety of products, all taught to "teach a man to fish."

First of all - good on ya for realizing the importance of PR! Some PR agencies/consultants do focus on reactive media strategies like I will teach you, so it's absolutely a good idea to check with them first. If they're not using their time on that, I highly recommend you learn the skill!

But here's the thing - they have to represent and pitch the whole region/state... you're absolutely going to up your chances if you're responding to media requests as well!
